The namesake of our company comes from the translated spelling of the same word in Greek, αμίαντος. Originally, the term was used to describe something that was free from impurity or steadfast in its form. Over time it was then adapted to describe the multi-functional family of minerals that were mined nearby and that are known to not change their composition despite external influences: Asbestos.
It is our goal as a laboratory to asisst the industrial health industry and our local communities in purifying the environment of asbestos to minimize public health risk.
